Compass

Special orders...hmmm, many of might have other names for them.  

But, I won't get into that because this special order was for a church, and the woman I dealt with was delightful and patient,

AND I really like how it came out, which isn't always the case. It is based on this wreath I made last year for my front door (see details HERE):

This one is larger so I made it a little differently. I used a lazy Susan that I bought at a thrift store. I took it apart and painted the two circles white.

I hot glued the wood pieces to the larger circle.  The hot glue only holds the pieces temporarily.  I then flipped it over and screwed two screws into each board.  I added the smaller circle on the front with one screw in the middle.

The colors and N,S,W,E were requested by the church--I like them.  This is going in their nursery area and I think it will be a fun addition to their decor.
