Chunky Monkey Coffee Table

This chunky coffee table was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest that was originally from HGTV, I believe. When a friend was generous enough to give me some barnwood, I knew this table was in there.
As I have said before, I have pulled some square nails from this wood, so it is old.  This table was simple construction. You know I love paint, but not for this purdy wood.
Some good sanding, Early American stain, and wipe on poly was all it took to beautify this baby.
I love the storage shelf--big enough for blankets and books and magazines.
This piece would also make a good TV console, with storage for DVR's, etc. underneath.
