Facelift For a Dresser

I love freebies--well maybe not in the beginning.  A teacher in our school district gave me a 1960's dresser with mirror (the mirror was used on my turquoise dresser) and a bookcase headboard.  I didn't take before pictures, but imagine something like this:
I sanded the main part and Briwaxed it with dark oak color.
I painted the top white and the drawers grey.
I needed to bring the white somewhere else for balance so I decided the knobs would be white.
This piece has a lot of hardware so I chose to use inexpensive wood knobs and a few pulls I had on hand. I painted them white and modge podged old book pages on them, using a large circle paper punch to cut the circles out.  I sanded them a bit and stained them and then I finished them with a triple thick clear glaze over the top to make them look more like ceramic.
 Yes, free is good :)!
