Under $100 Linky Party

Ah, sitting here, under a blanket, drinking a caramel latte (no doubt 5000 calories!), watching it bluster out--I love blogging!  For those of you who aren't, or perhaps are regular readers of my blog, I have started a new feature on Mondays to motivate you to do something different, get you out of your comfort zone.  I will often have linky parties on Mondays for you to show off what you did if you take on the challenge or assignment I give you.

I must say, this past Monday confirmed what I have suspected for a long time--many of us do not take the time to actually read blog posts, we just like to look at the pictures.  I am NOT pointing any fingers, I have been plenty guilty of this and it made me laugh.  So, sorry if I confused any of you.  Monday linky parties will pertain to my motivated Monday posts, Thursday's (ok, Wednesday night's) linky parties will be all about your fabulous under $100 ideas, like these:
At Home With K has been working on a mudroom makeover, like those doors!
This balsamic pork sandwich from Changing My Destiny makes my mouth water.
Balsamic Pork Sandwich with Cilantro Cabbage
Twiggy Studio shared a sweet Valentine pillow.
I have tried to get over red, but how can you with pieces like this from The Salvage Collection.
Fab Rehab Creations made a cozy daybed.
Photobucket
I love a good ladder as you know, Homeroad made a  fantastic craft organizer with one.

Meg and Mum's roadside rescue turned out beautifully.

Thanks for linking up and for sharing you with us :) !!
Under $100 Linky Guidelines:
1. Please link to the specific post, not your blog!
2. Please only post ideas that cost $100 or less--it would be great if you share the cost of your project, but not necessary.3. Please include a brief description in link up.
4. Grab my Under $100 button on the sidebar and include it in your post or a link to Beyond the Picket Fence so people can find you and more great ideas.
5. Please check and make sure your link works. If it doesn't you can delete it and try again.
6. Please no direct links to sales sites, i.e. ETSY or just a plain ol' commercial site, we are looking for inexpensive ideas we can recreate, thanks!

  6. Hi Becky
I only recently discovered your delicious blog and I read EVERY WORD!

I've made some nice wooden frames from scratch with my brother's help and painted them using your peeling off paint technique. I'm not sure how to get my pics up, since I don't have a blog or page myself... but I'll ask my husband, he'll know :)

Just to say in the meantime, your blog is awesome and I love that I can find something on the internet that not only stimulates my creative side, but also shares Jesus!

Can't wait for the next post!

    Love from South Africa

  8. Neat features! I follow so many of those blogs!

Hey, got a question. Do you have a tutorial on how you put together your benches? I have some reclaimed wood and I wanted to try to make one for myself. I looked around on your blog, but couldn't find one.

  9. Good Morning! Today, I'm sharing my tutorial on Pickling Jalapeno Peppers. They turned out fantastic-and the family seems to get a kick out of them. Hope you enjoy them too. Thanks for hosting the party once again. Have a great day!

  12. Becky, I did a pretty weird thing. think you can kindly sort this for me? I wanted to link the DIY teacup candles but gave the wrong URL. Hence, it ended up with a coastal decor pic and a teacup candle name! WEIRD right! I am so sorry. Could you please remove it? :P

  14. I, agree! Most of us do like looking at pictures and completely skip the reading part. I am so guilty of this half the time. The other half the time I actually do read! Sometimes it's because I'm distracted by family matters,"Leila! quit painting the dog! I told you put that paint down! What do you mean the neighbors dog is purple?" then I go on auto pilot if there is a linky party, it's like my subconscious kicks right in and I pay no attention to what I'm doing while talking to my husband or scolding a kid.
The other times I don't read is when I tend to have been online for a while working. I get tired and just picture surf!

I get that on my blog. People will ask a question that was already answered in the post, so I know they didn't read it. But I don't blame them! When reading decor blogs we tend to picture surf!
