Dreaming of Wildflowers and 1-2-3-4-5

I am dreaming of flowers--flowers that I probably won't see much of until July. Decided if I couldn't see them, I'd paint some on this old chair and suitcase. I sanded the chairs some so the layers of paint would show through.

I also painted this coat hook with the 1-2-3-4-5. I had seen something like it somewhere--maybe a catalog, and it stuck in my head. Sorry, it is just sitting on the couch here--I need to get heavy duty hanging wire for it. My hubby did not understand the numbers, needed to know why they were there, why they were in order. I told him to just appreciate it and try not to understand it.

  2. I love the numbers! You made me laugh because I too saw them somewhere--on dining room chairs--I tried to explain it to my husband and it was like i was speaking french :)

  6. Hi, I found you through Home Again. She has you listed on her blogpage. I really enjoy your pieces that I have seen. I too like to "repurpose" old junk and give it new life. People are so quick to throw stuff away. I have a small gift shop that I'm planning to reopen on Memorial Day weekend. I've been closed for almost 1 1/2 years due to some financial and personal issues. However, I'm getting the bug to want to get back out there.

I hope to keep in touch. I too am a child of Christ...and I appreciate your sharing verses and thouhts that He gives you throughout the day.

    Hugs,
    Penny Sue

  7. Hello! Stopping over from Bloom Right Here. Nice touch adding the flowers to the chair. I like the numbered coat hanger, too. Your commentary reminds me of conversations with my DH - ha!

  9. Good morning from a SITSter.
I came over for a visit and ended up "ooo-ing" and "ahh-ing" at all the posts of your thrifty loot and lovely projects.
You are wonderfully creative. I love that!
And you're brave for taking photos of your creations.
(Even when a project turns out well for me my photos stink.)
    Way to go!
